Currently the SAMBER Group has 28 volunteers, who give up their time every Tuesday during term time, to groom, tack up, pony-lead and side-walk to keep the children safe and secure, and set up and take down all the games.

 

All our volunteers are DBS checked and have provided two references.  We also ask for photographic ID to check identity upon starting.  Training is provided ‘on the job’ by the Group Coaches to ensure all volunteers meet the RDA ‘Green Card’ standard.  We also have members with over 10 and even 20+ years experience who are happy to mentor our new recruits and all volunteers are encouraged to attend RDA National training and Conferences.  There is always something new to learn!  Since we always need to have a First Aider in our sessions, over 10 of our volunteers have even completed the ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’ Certificate (with Equestrian module) through Samber, via:
