In May 1978, the Post Office asked Beryl to find a Shetland Pony for them to buy, for their presentation to HRH Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, in view of their issue of stamps of English Breeds of Horses. Within 3 days, a well bred pony was found and taken to the Tate Gallery lawn to be handed over to the Princess Royal. She in turn presented him to the RDA, and he became the first SAMBER owned pony. He was rechristened Stamp. Today, SAMBER owns two ponies, and is loaned additional horses from Langshot Stables, private individuals and the RDA Quest Group.
